Privacy Policy

QuipCrack ("the app") is built by Quantum Leap Studios. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how it's stored. QuipCrack is designed to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Game Center player ID and display name — used only to show your name on leaderboards, if you choose to sign in to Game Center.
• Solve records and best times — how fast you solved each puzzle, used for your stats and leaderboard standing.
• Energy level and current quote — your in-progress puzzle state, so you can pick up where you left off on any device.

All of the above is synced through your own private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. We never see it directly — Apple's infrastructure handles the sync, governed by Apple's own privacy practices.

What we don't collect

• No email address or any contact information
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
• No advertising identifiers — QuipCrack has no ads
• No access to camera, location, contacts, or photos

How data is stored

Your data lives in two places: on your device (via SwiftData) and in your private Apple iCloud database (via CloudKit). Both are accessible only to you, signed in with your own Apple ID. We do not operate our own servers and have no independent copy of your data.

Third parties

QuipCrack uses Apple's own platform services exclusively to deliver its functionality:

• Apple CloudKit — stores and syncs your progress across your devices
• Apple Game Center — player authentication and leaderboard scores
• Apple StoreKit — processes the one-time Unlimited Solves purchase
• Apple Push Notifications — delivers CloudKit sync updates

No other third-party services, data brokers, or advertising networks are used. Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases

The one-time "Unlimited Solves" purchase is processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit. QuipCrack never sees or stores your payment information.

Children's privacy

QuipCrack is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information beyond what's described above. The app contains no chat, no user-generated content, and no way for one player to contact another.

Deleting your data

• Local data: delete the app from your device to remove all on-device data.
• iCloud data: go to iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → QuipCrack, and delete the app's iCloud data from there.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "last updated" date.
